SUBSTRATE FOR ORCHIDS AND EPIPHITES
Orchids, orchids and other epiphytes are plants with unique requirements that grow in their natural environment on tree branches, drawing moisture and light and using permeable substrate. In home conditions, it is equally important to provide them with the right conditions for healthy growth. Our orchid substrate is a carefully developed mixture that reproduces the natural structure of the environment in which these plants live.
Why is our substrate the best choice?
Our Biovita orchid substrate is a composition of high-quality ingredients, such as sphagnum moss and high peat, which create a light, permeable structure. Thanks to this, orchid roots have easy access to air and moisture, which promotes their healthy development. This is an ideal solution for all epiphytes that need a light, but also well-moist substrate.
The main advantages of the substrate
- Light and permeable : The substrate provides adequate ventilation for the roots, which prevents rotting.
- Natural composition : Contains only natural ingredients, such as sphagnum moss and high peat, which are safe for orchids.
- Starter Fertilizer : The soil comes with a starter fertilizer that provides your plants with initial support for the first 4-6 weeks.
- Optimum pH : pH 6-7, ideal for growing orchids and other epiphytes.
Application
The substrate is ideal for planting and transplanting orchids, orchids and other epiphytes, such as:

Orchid Repotting Instructions
- Soaking the roots : Before transplanting, soak the plant's roots in water to make them flexible and less likely to be damaged.
- Removing the container : Carefully cut open and remove the container so as not to damage the roots.
- Preparing the plant : Wash the roots under running water, removing any dead or damaged rhizomes.
- Drainage : Pour expanded clay into the bottom of the pot to ensure proper drainage.
- Repotting : Place the orchid in a pot, covering the roots with our Biovita orchid substrate. Make sure that the aerial roots remain outside the pot.
